2006 – 2008Company Foundation & Brand Origin
2006: Started as a concession vendor in an amusement park, selling bulk shrimp crackers packed in popcorn boxes. Concurrently established the company and applied for the "KAKA" trademark registration.
2007: KAKA officially entered the pre-packaged food market. Products became an instant hit at the Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf in Taipei, with popularity rapidly spreading to the Chijin Fishing Port market in Kaohsiung.
2008: Initiated the R&D of the signature "Sauce-Glazed" (醬燒) product line. Successfully launched items including Sauce-Glazed Shrimp Crackers, Fish Fries, Calamari Crisps, and Squid Rings. -
2012 – 2013Factory Relocation & Global Recognition
2012: Honored with the prestigious SIAL INNOVATION Award, recognizing our product creativity on a global stage.
2013: Completed construction of the Changhua manufacturing plant and headquarters. The facility secured international HACCP and ISO 22000 certifications, reaching a daily production capacity of 8,000 packs. -
2014 – 2019Global Expansion & Market Penetration
2014: Completed and officially inaugurated the new KAKA manufacturing facility in Indonesia.
2015: Expanded plant equipment and upgraded daily production capacity to 12,000 packs.
2017: Completed the second Changhua plant, boosting the projected daily production capacity to over 24,000 packs.
2019: Successfully penetrated Western markets with the sauce-glazed product series, rebranded as "BBQ Chips" for international consumers. Seasoned with natural seafood ingredients and crafted with masterful culinary techniques, the series proudly promotes Taiwanese gourmet flavors worldwide. -
2020 – 2022Product Innovation & Breakthroughs
2020: Rolled out a series of innovative product concepts, including Roasted Seafood, Steamed Seafood, Stir-fried Seafood, and Mixed Seafood series.
2021: Developed the "Premium Potato Chips" line. Utilizing our proprietary sauce-glazing and baking technology to lock in rich seafood flavors, these premium chips contain 40% less oil than conventional potato chips, receiving widespread acclaim from consumers. -
2023 – PresentCross-Industry Collaboration & Regional Revitalization
2023: Established the "Chao Xia Bing" (Trend Shrimp Crackers) Concept Store in Anping, Tainan. Partnered with world-renowned IPs to launch highly successful co-branded merchandise, including Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen.
2024: Expanded the "Chao Xia Bing" retail presence via pop-up stores across major department stores and shopping malls in Taiwan. Formulated the upcoming launch of our new premium brand, "KAKA CHEF COLLECTION".
2025: Established the "Chao Dragon Palace" Tourist Factory in Anping District, Tainan, celebrating its grand opening on June 14.
